  • GMSI, in conjuction with the Durham Office of Economic and Workforce Development, hosted a free Networking and Workshop forum for Mid to Upper Level professionals on 01/18/12, at Springhill Suites/Durham-Chapel Hill. The Professsonal Placement Network (PPN) is a monthly event that attracts hundreds of Durham's and the larger Triangle's dislocated and underemployed job seekers. Speakers are invited in to provide tools and tips on Job seeking, personal marketing, resume preparation, and interviewing. This month's speaker lead a spirited interactive session on Compensation Valuation; NBC17 in the Triangle, NC region, covered the event.
  • GMSI was a gold sponsor for the 2011 State of Durham’s Economy breakfast. GMSI provides contracted WIA services to Adult & Dislocated Workers in Durham, North Carolina.
  • GMSI attended and exhibited at the 2010 VA RIMS and PRIMA educational conference on October 4th - 5th, 2010 in Va. Beach, VA.
  • GMSI will be exhibiting at the National RIMS conference in Boston, MA from April 25th - April 29th, 2010.
  • GMSI assisted Rite Aid Corporation with their Brooks Eckerd integration by completing a national JTA project in Brooks Eckerd's distribution centers.
  • GMSI has expanded it's Case Management Service reach with the cities of Suffolk and Newport News, Virginia.
  • GMSI continues to expand it's relationship with the City of Raleigh/Durham North Carolina by providing training and Return To Work services for adult and dislocated workers as well as to Hurricane Katrina evacuees.
  • GMSI completed a transitional Return To Work Center study for one of the world's largest shipyards.
  • GMSI's video Job Task Analysis program was featured in the December 19, 2005 issue of Business Insurance.
  • GMSI's Job Task Analysis Team recently completed a Job Task Analysis project for SYSCO Baugh, the world's largest food producer.
  • GMSI's Job Task Analysis Team recently completed a Job Task Analysis project for Nestle Prepared Foods Company. GMSI's staff visited multiple Nestle plants capturing key physical job demand requirements in written and video form.
  • GMSI's Job Task Analysis Team recently completed a nationwide Job Task Analysis project for Rite Aid Corporation. GMSI's staff visited Rite Aid's nine customer support centers around the country and measured over 100 Distribution Center jobs. The measurements included all lift/carry requirements; push/pull force requirements; bend/reach parameters; stoop/crouch/kneel demands, etc. In addition job titles were consolidated and streamlined and all jobs were assigned a rating classification, i.e. medium, medium/heavy, heavy, etc.
  • GMSI's Job Task Analysis Team continues to expand it’s service offerings in the Logistics industry. Recent JTA’s have included an Over The Road Driver; Class A Driver; Yard Mule; and Material Handler for a leading national logistics company. GMSI provides quantitative physical demand measurements via the use of digital measurement tools that document the precise amount of push/pull force; lift/carry demands; bend/reach parameters, etc. of each essential job function. GMSI has also provided JTA services for Fortune 500 companies in the Warehousing; Transportation; Manufacturing; Chemical; Food Distribution; and Automotive industries.
